Pahao, Hawaii
Give yourself time to de-stress after the holiday season, and enter the new year with inner peace, mindfulness and strength. Join two spiritual, respected teachers for this opportunity to rest, re-align, and contemplate, in the magical embrace of the Big Island. Designed especially for women, the daily schedule strikes a delicious balance between focused asana practice, open unscheduled time, guided writing and visualization, meditation, pranayama, and chanting. Asana practice, including vinyasa and restorative yoga, will be offered twice daily, appropriate to all levels of practitioner. Ocean swims, long walks, a dip in the pool, and a good cup of tea are always options.
Kalani Oceanside Retreat has been a haven for yoga practitioners for over thirty years. Accommodations are simple and comfortable, with no televisions or phones, making it the perfect place to get away and focus on personal wellbeing. Kalani is located in a tropical jungle overlooking the spectacular coast, with a diversity of flora and fauna.
On Thursday, when we take a break from practice, or anytime, options for further explorations of the island are abundant. At reasonable additional cost, you can take a guided trip out to sea on a double-hull Hawaiian canoe, spend an afternoon snorkeling in tide pools, or choose from an array of guided visits including:
- MacKenzie Park Lava Tube, Malamaki and Shell Beach
- Spring-fed Green Lake and Green Mountain

- Lava Tree State Park, Steam Vents and Coconut Beach
- World Botanical Gardens and UmaUma Falls
